Heavy Equipment Mech,Lead

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Supervises assigned personnel in the correct testing, troubleshooting, inspection, and repair of components, sub-assemblies and end items.

Plans work schedules, assigns jobs, explains work requirements, and enforces shop safety and shop cleanliness.

Performs final inspections on repaired components, sub-assemblies, and end items to insure proper operation, enhance workmanship, and customer satisfaction.

Ensures that technical manuals and publications are properly maintained.

Serves as primary hand receipt holder, ensure that tools and repair parts are properly maintained, secure, order, and controlled.

Serves as the Quality Control Inspector for the team and conducts those duties.

Stays abreast of status of jobs and provides verbal and/or written reports relating thereto when requested.

Review time sheets and PAL cards for accuracy and completeness.

Attends meetings and prepares written reports.

Supervisory Responsibilities:


Minimum Qualifications:(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

High School graduate or equivalent.

Minimum of five (5) years experience in automotive component overhaul and rebuild or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must possess and maintain a current Oklahoma Driver s License.

Must be able to obtain Secret security clearance.

Must be able to pass a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) for computer access.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Formal civilian, vocational, or military training in automotive or track vehicle component rebuild is desirable.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to do standing, climbing, bending and occasionally working in cramped and awkward positions. Employee may stand for long periods. May lift equipment weighing 25 pounds. Occasionally assists lifting and carrying equipment weighing up to 75 pounds

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
