SCA Electronics Technician Maintenance II - RVTT - Ft Sill, OK

Essential Job Functions:

  • Maintains, repairs, troubleshoots, modifies and installs various types of electronic equipment and related devices such as electronic transmitting and receiving equipment (e. g., radar, radio, television, telecommunication, sonar, and navigational aids).
  • Applies technical knowledge of electronics principles in determining equipment malfunctions and repairing equipment to its normal operation.
  • Applies skill in restoring equipment operation, evaluates performance and reliability of prototype or production mode.
  • Recommends changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance, unscheduled maintenance, and repair actions on the various systems of a medium to high fidelity simulator platform. This may include full motion systems, visual display systems, image generators, simulated weapons, and computer network technology. The position requires the technical ability to troubleshoot failures down to discreet component level by applying comprehensive knowledge in electronics and logical fault diagnostic abilities.
  • Perform scale up and scale down of mobile training devices.
  • Perform basic trailer maintenance. This may include interior and exterior cleaning, corrosion control, spot painting, and ECU maintenance.
  • Read documents, system prints, and computer screens; solder/desolder components; observe equipment operation within a room, observe instrument panel indicators.
  • Complete maintenance records, log books, and inventories.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in Electronic Technology (or equivalent) from an accredited college or university and three years minimum work experience in a related discipline or three years related military training or a combination of education and experience.
  • Three years of increasingly complex and progressive experience in computer systems / network or training device maintenance.
  • Two years experience with Microsoft office software operation and use.
  • Must possess good written composition and verbal communication skills, ability to express facts and rationale.
  • Must currently possess at a minimum an Interim security clearance and be able to obtain/maintain an active/valid US security clearance.
  • Must have the ability and manual dexterity to move safely in confined spaces, ascend / descend stairways, ladders, and lifts; operate simulator; remove and replace failed assemblies; handle, disassemble, and assemble small parts, components, and hardware.
  • Must be capable of stooping, bending, kneeling, lifting and carrying up to 60lbs, working at heights, and working on items overhead.

Work Environment:

  • Varies depending on site. Outside in all types of weather, heat, humidity, cold, rain, snow, dust. Inside including heat, cold, humidity, office, device modules, loud noises, mechanical devices.
  • This position is at a fixed facility or a mobile device that can move for short durations.
  • Mobile devices are expandable trailers that can be moved but will be based at this location.
  • Must be able to travel to various locations.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
