Equipment Concentration Site (ECS) 162, located in Fort Sill, Oklahoma.

This position requires a Personnel Security Investigation. This position requires membership in the US Army Reserve (USAR). This position is subject to Drug Abuse Testing Program requirements. This position requires a Class A CDL within 90 days of employment. This position requires a medical examination prior to employment.
The Duties Of This Position Include:
Perform repairs on various types of equipment
Replace components when needed
Perform preventative maintenance on vehicles
Complete body work
Inspect and troubleshoot equipment
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
In order to qualify, you must meet the screen-out element described below.
Screen Out Element: Ability to do the work of a Heavy Mobile Equipment Repairer without more than normal supervision. Applicants must meet the screen out element to be considered further. To meet the screen out element, applicants should document experience or show the ability to do the following: basic mechanical/preventative maintenance on automotives, heavy mobile equipment or powered support equipment. Examples of this include the use of various techniques for removing, adjusting, replacing, cleaning and installing a variety of parts, components, and accessories; use techniques to determine when parts should be cleaned, adjusted or replaced; read and interpret parts lists and technical manuals; use basic tools such as wrenches, sockets, torque wrenches, brake tools or screwdrivers; use a variety of test and measurement devices such as circuit testers and timing lights; and analyze test results to locate improperly functioning parts for repair or replacement.
Physical Effort Required: Work requires frequent bending, reaching, and climbing. You will work on top of or under equipment in cramped or awkward positions. You will frequently lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift heavier items with the assistance of co-workers.
Working Conditions: You will work both inside and outside. When inside, you may be exposed to drafts, hot and cold shops, changing temperatures and loud noises. When outside, you may occasionally be exposed to inclement weather. You will be frequently exposed to fumes, dust and dirt, oil and grease, and subject to cuts, bruises, burns and abrasions.
