Performs the full range of barbering duties independently involving the use of a combination of different barbering techniques and tools to prepare, condition, and groom the skin and hair. Shapes and styles hair by cutting and trimming. Shaves, trims or styles beards and mustaches. Shampoos, conditions, massages or dyes hair. suggests to patron possible type of service or styling. Cleans and sanitizes work area and tools. Keeps an adequate stock of barbershop related items. Accepts payment and operates cash register. Includes other job related duties as assigned.
Must have a valid state barber''s license and certificate of training. Experience or training that indicates sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of this position consistent with accepted practices of the trade. Ability to work without more than normal supervision. Technical practices (barbering services and techniques). Use of measuring instruments. Knowledge of materials. Ability to stand for extremely long periods of time. Must be able to communicate orally and have experience operating cash registers and making change.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
