95/hr Job Description Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a strong and skilled Construction/Maintenance Administrator to join our team.
The Construction/Maintenance Administrator plays a crucial role in planning, coordinating, and directing activities related to the construction, renovation, maintenance, and repair of state-owned buildings, facilities, grounds, and equipment.
This position involves managing and supervising construction/maintenance technicians and licensed trades specialists to ensure the efficient execution of both new construction/renovation projects and the upkeep of existing state properties.
Key
Responsibilities:
Conduct inspections of buildings, premises, and equipment for maintenance, construction, or renovation needs.
Provide cost estimates for labor and materials and evaluates bids on projects.
Inspect ongoing and completed work for code compliance.
Manage supervisory staff and oversee their activities and review timesheets.
Develop and implement budgets for construction and maintenance projects.
Establish policies, procedures, ensuring compliance with laws, rules, and regulations.
Prepare routine and special reports on project progress.
Prepare specifications for standard and specialized equipment, supplies, and vehicles.
Review plans and construction documents for accuracy.
Complete reports on equipment operations, installation, maintenance work, and materials used.

Exempt Minimum Qualifications and
Experience:
Five years of experience in skilled building trade or maintenance work involving the construction, maintenance, alteration, and/or repair of buildings, grounds and utilities Two years of supervising employees, inmates, or contractors in one of the fields listed above; OR An equivalent combination of educations and experience, substituting one years of college or technical school training in the building or construction trades for each year of the required non-supervisor experience.
Special Requirements:
Willingness to travel for job-related purposes Must maintain a valid driver's license
